What is castleton-on-hudson bridge?

Castleton-on-Hudson Bridge is a steel truss bridge located in Rensselaer County, New York, USA. It spans the Hudson River between the towns of Castleton-on-Hudson and Schodack. The bridge was designed by the American Bridge Company and opened in 1959, replacing an earlier bridge built in 1897. The length of the bridge is 3,382 feet (1,031 meters) and it has a vertical clearance of 135 feet (41 meters) above the river. The bridge is a popular crossing for cars and trucks, as well as pedestrians and bikers. It is maintained by the New York State Department of Transportation.
